Just 13km from South Australia’s mainland lies Australia’s third largest island, Kangaroo Island. A short ferry ride from Cape Jervis to Penneshaw aboard the Sealink Ferry will have you exploring the sites of Kangaroo Island in no time. 

There are plenty of things to see and do as you make your way to the western side of the island from Penneshaw. Travelling through Flinders Chase NP will have you in awe as you make your way through the winding roads, over hills surrounded by bushland, and through scrub full of native wildlife. Be greeted with expansive views of the coastline and Cape du Couedic Lighthouse before Remarkable Rocks peer over the horizon, perched precariously on top of a rock face. 

Admirals Arch is another remarkable natural structure that through thousands of years of erosion, has created an archway formation. The Admirals Arch boardwalk will also take you past Cape du Couedic Light station, in operation on the southwest side of the island since 1909.
