Discovery Parks – Hadspen is situated just 15 minutes out of Launceston in the beautiful Launceston-Tamar Valley in Tasmania. The area is filled with breathtaking views, fabulous wineries and plenty of national parks and walks, so offers the ideal place to stay for a while to explore.

No matter what size of group or family, or what type of holiday you’re on, there will be accommodation to suit at Discovery Parks – Hadspen. Larger families just love the Superior Cedar Cabins, sleeping up to 6 and featuring a wood finish throughout as well as plenty of living and dining space for everyone. There are also Cottages available for groups of between 4 and 6, all of which boast private bathrooms, comfortable beds, and flat-screen TVs. For a bit of added luxury, you could book a Spa cabin, so you can relax in a warm spa-bath at the end of the day and completely unwind.

For the more budget conscious, the Economy Cabins are ideal, offering well-appointed kitchens and bunks for the kids. There are also accessible cabins as well as pet-friendly cabins available, so every kind of guest is catered for at Discovery Parks – Hadspen, and even the family dog can be invited along on the holiday.

If you’ve arrived with the caravan, there are powered sites on which to set the van up. Once you’ve settled in, all guests are then free to make use of the camp kitchen, onsite BBQs and laundry. The kids can also head off to play on the central playground which will keep even the smallest members of the family happy.

The area around Discovery Parks – Hadspen is breathtaking. The Tamar Valley is known for its national parks and gastronomic delights. Follow the Tamar Valley Wine Route to try out some of the local wines, or satisfy your love of nature by exploring the Tamar River or the Tamar Island Wetlands which are teeming with birds and wildlife. You can also head into nearby Launceston to discover the Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery, or visit one of the other many historic sites in the town and surrounds.
