Lake Bonney is a lake filled by the Murray River in times of high flow that would have been a paradise for the original aboriginal inhabitants.
Discovery Parks - Lake Bonney is a 10 hectare park with 150 powered sites and 44 cabins ranging from Economy to Superior situated near the shores of Lake Bonney on the outskirts of Barmera. Because of the amount of trees in the park finding a nice shady site is never a problem.
The park has an inflatable trampoline and 2 water trampolines which are popular with children of all ages. An in-ground pool has been the focus of many a summer's day fun. Children are catered for with pedal-carts and single & tandem bikes and playground while the whole family can get water-borne on the canoes and paddle boats which are all available for hire. Movie nights and kids activities over school holidays.

River and wetland cruises are available for those who want to do it in a tinny with 5 passengers.Historic villages and museums offer a look into the past of this irrigation district, the Cobdogla museum runs the only operating Humphry pump in the world.
